Introduit pour la première fois en 1960, le colibri aux épaules carrées est rapidement devenu un classique grâce à Keith Richards des Rolling Stones, qui utilisait un Colibri pour rythmer les premiers succès de Stones comme «Satisfaction», «Play With Fire» et «Under My Thumb».
