Placé dans un emplacement libre du châssis de l'ordinateur, le TCO sera connecté à la carte principale via un câble plat.Module de synchronisation pour LTC et vidéoLe petit module fournit aux cartes HDSPe une entrée Word Clock et offre une synchronisation au LTC et à la vidéo. Grâce à SteadyClock (TM), le TCO extrait non seulement les positions absolues du LTC, mais aussi une horloge de mots très propre à faible gigue du LTC et de la vidéo. Ainsi, une synchronisation précise du timecode de l'échantillon avec les sources audio ou vidéo est assurée.Un seul TCO peut être utilisé avec différentes cartes HDSP / HDPe en même temps (multicarte), s'il est connecté à une carte prise en charge (voir graphique).Le LTC peut être dérivé et généré dans tous les formats courants, c'est-à-dire 24, 25, 30 et 29,97 trames; drop-frame ou non-dropframe. Les formats Pull-Up et Pull-Down couramment utilisés (+/- 0,1% et +/- 4%) peuvent être utilisés, et les formats vidéo PAL et NTSC seront automatiquement détectés et traités.Le code temporel reçu peut être envoyé à l'application audio ou vidéo en tant que protocole de positionnement ASIO (APP) ou MTC.
