There has been a resurgence of interest in the work of the late Cyril Scott in recent years, to the extent that he has been described as the "father of modern British music". He was romanticist with some impressionist qualities and his harmonic treatments and piano works depict the exotic. This is an impressive solo piano piece with suggested grade 6.
