The Rose and the Nightingale

Roza i Solovey) was composed in 1866 by the young and
not yet famous Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. The composer
used the words of Alexei Koltsov's poem Nightingale:
Pushkin's Imitation, which was written in 1831. "The
