Cameron Douglas Craig is a professor laureate (2010-2011) in the Department of Geology/Geography at Eastern Illinois University. Mr. Craig currently oversees the Broadcast Meteorology program and works with his meteorology students at WEIUs EMMY award winning news program, “NewsWatch.” In addition to his duties, he created the film production company, “Tempestas et Caelum Productions,” that allows students to have a platform for creating documentary films for regional PBS stations and classrooms around the world. His newest acquisition is “TCPArts” for the purpose of training students how to film and edit concerts in Eastern Illinois University's Doudna Fine Art Center and to promote the music department’s talent on a grand scale in Central Illinois. His return to music originates from his youth and as an undergraduate at Indiana State University. A former vocal performance major, Mr. Craig is currently working toward receiving a Master of Arts in Conducting at Eastern Illinois University studying with Maestro Richard Robert Rossi. As a composer, Mr. Craig has written over a hundred works for a multitude of genres. Many of his works accompany his documentary films that have aired on regional PBS stations. He has written works for ballet, chamber ensembles, and choral works for the church. He is most proud of the sacred works that he has regularly composed for the First Presbyterian Church choir in Charleston, Illinois.
Mr. Craig’s ultimate goal is to combine all of his fields of study, geography, history, broadcast meteorology and music, to understand the growth, influence and culture of the human spirit to pass on to his students. (Hide extended text)...(Read all)
