Tobias Haslinger (1787 - 1842) Autriche Tobias Haslinger ( 1 March 1787 in Zell bei Zellhof, Upper Austria - 18 June 1842 in Vienna ) is a publisher of music and composer Austrian . As a child choir in Linz he learned several instruments and working alongside the Kapellmeister Franz Xaver Glöggl .
By 1810, he lives in Vienna, first as an accountant and partner in an art shop Sigmund Anton Steiner , which he took over the shares in 1826. He heads the publishing house, printing and burning and actually a company with an international reach. He has published works by Beethoven , Franz Schubert (the song cycle Winterreise , composed in 1827, qu'Haslinger published during the year 1828), Louis Spohr , Johann Nepomuk Hummel , Josef Mayseder , Ignaz Moscheles , Carl Maria von Weber , Mozart , Carl Czerny , Muzio Clementias well as the complete works of Johann Strauss .
In 1821 Ludwig van Beethoven dedicates his musical joke ' O Tobias! ' WoO (Werk ohne Opus) 182, a Canon for three voices.
Tobias Haslinger is also active as a composer.
After his death, his son Carl directs the publishing house under the name of Carl Tobias Haslinger quondam successfully. He published works including the brothers Johann and Josef Strauss .
