Raphael Dressler (1784 - 1835)

Raphael Dressler was born about 1784 in Graz. In 1809 he was offered the position of first flutist in the orchestra of Kärntnertortheatre in Vienna, in 1817, he moved to the same position to the royal chapel in Hanover. 1820-1834 he was then in England, on 12.02.1835 he died in Mainz. Dressler was alive so obviously a renowned flautist, flute that his school, op 68 in the years 1827/28 by several publishers almost simultaneously in both London, Bonn and New York was published.
