Dario Caruso was born in Savona in 1964 and started his musical studies when he was ten years old.
He left University to devote himself completely to the guitar and obtained his Masterclass under the direction of Giulio Vallerga.
Afterwards his activity evolves in different fields: as a performer he follows specialization courses directed by Julian Bream and Maurizio Colonna and presents his repertoire (about the twentieth century) in Italy and abroad; as a composer he takes part in the Cordoba International Prize for Guitar obtaining the approval of the critics and the attention of some publishers now producing his works; he organizes and directs the Savona International Competition for Guitar and is the promoter of important musical events; in addition, he teaches music in different schools with care and enthusiasm.
The aim of his concerts, lessons and compositions is the diffusion of music to involve the audience overcoming the barriers between generations.
This is the reason why he likes to use modern technical devices, without forgetting the importance of traditions; the result is the natural consequence of these remarks, what he himself defines “a careful modernity”. (Hide extended text)...(Read all)
