Grigori Abramovich Krein ( Russian Григорий Абрамович Крейн; * 6. jul. / 18th March 1879 greg. In Nizhny Novgorod ; † 6 January 1957 in Komarovo ) was a Russian composer .
Krein studied in Moscow at Jan Hřímalý , Paul Juon and Gliere and 1905-1908 with Max Reger in Leipzig . Since 1913 he was, like his brother Alexander , the Moscow branch of the Society for Jewish Folk Music in. He worked as a violin and theory teacher in Moscow. From 1926 to 1934 he lived with his son Julian in Vienna , Paris and Berlin , then again in Moscow and from 1941 to 1943 in Tashkent .
