From Edward Lein's MISSA PRO DEFUNCTIS ("Mass for the
Departed," 1991), a setting of the traditional Requiem
mass for soli voices (SATB), chorus (SATB) and organ,
with oboe, harp, timpani & percussion.
The final "Hymnus" is a setting of the hymn text, "Who Are These Like Stars Appearing," from the 1841 English translation by F.E. Cox of the 1719 original by T.H. Schenck.
