A while back I was in a public hall which had an open
piano for anybody to play. A quite young child was
pounding away on a tune with a melodic base line in the
left hand and repeated triplets in the right. Several
people thought the child was brilliant. I am not a
pianist, just a trumpet player with very minor piano
playing capabilities, but two thoughts came to mind
immediately: First, it was not that complex, so the
child should probably not be compared to Mozart just
yet. Second, I naive...(+)

something better than that. This is the result - a
piece a casual pianist with modest abilities could
enjoy playing for friends who might not object too
violently if forced to listen.
