Traditionally known as chorale preludes, the
compositions in the BWV 599–771 range of the
Bach-Werke-Verzeichnis, and later additions BWV 1085,
1090–1120 (Neumeister Chorales) and 1128, are also
indicated as chorale settings for organ, and include
multi-movement chorale partitas and sets of
variations.
