A Song of Victory
I found this obscure hymn in Triumphant Service Songs
(copyright 1934), and it’s easy to see why it got in.
From the author of Send the Light!, My Savior’s

1. Loudly unto the world is a chorus resounding,
From the hosts of the Lord as they march along,
Rich in harmony, sending the echoes rebounding,
Swelling mightily from the victorious throng.
2. Pressing onto the battle, each soldier rejoices,
Singing joyfully unto the gracious King;
Earth is joining her praise with the tumult of
voices,
While the arches of Heaven with music ring.
3. Glory! glory to God in the highest forever!
For the King in His beauty shall yet appear!
Shout aloud, for Jehovah, our God, will deliver;
His the battle, and victory draweth near.
Chorus: Victory! victory! rings aloud the battle
cry!
Until the glorious echoes reach the vaulted sky;
Over the world now be unfurled his flag from shore to
shore;
Loyal and true, in the ranks each faithful soldier
stands,
Gladly obeying in whatsoever He commands;
He is the King, and the kingdom His forevermore!
This arrangement also contains My Soul, Be on Thy Guard
(words by George Heath, music by Lowell Mason).
