Ajoutée par magataganm, 02 Jun 2017 Johann Sebastian Bach was a German composer, organist, harpsichordist, violist, and violinist whose sacred and secular works for choir, orchestra, and solo instruments drew together the strands of the Baroque period and brought it to its ultimate maturity. Although he did not introduce new forms, he enriched the prevailing German style with a robust contrapuntal technique, an unrivalled control of harmonic and motivic organisation, and the adaptation of rhythms, forms and textures from abroad, particularly from Italy and France. The Six Little Preludes (Kleine Präludien), BWV 933-938, are a group of preludes composed by Johann Sebastian Bach for keyboard. These were conceived between 1717–1720, but they were not published until 1802. These pieces are all short but require a deep understanding of technique. Questions have been risen about the authorship of some of the pieces, and it has been suggested that Carl Philipp Emmanuel Bach may have reworked some sections.
