Ajoutée par magataganm, 26 Jui 2020 Stefan Stocker [also. L.B. Est.] (1795 - 1882) was an Austrian composer born in South Tyrol and worked as a choir director, teacher and composer. Trained in Innsbruck, he worked as a teacher, organist and composer in Schenna, Latsch, St. Pauls (Eppan) and from 1849 in Meran, city where he remained the rest of his life. As a composer, he published a large part of his church works under the pseudonym L. B. Est. (= Land Bassist Etienne Stocker) with Anton Böhm & Sohn in Augsburg. Although originally composed for Choir (SATB), I created this Interpretation of "Haec dicit Dominus Deus" (Thus saith our Lord) for Winds (Flute, Oboe, Bb Clarinet, English Horn, French Horn & Bassoon) & Strings (2 Violins, 2 Violas & Cello). |
