The first movement has darker passages than usual. The transition to F minor and the melody developed there is not only beautiful, but somewhat makes (more or less indirectly) a good climax for all those dark moments this movement has had.
The second movement was very brief but still good and ?despite still in F Major? managed to keep that intermittent darkness, which as far as I'm listening, also stains the third.
Regarding the fourth and last, it serves good to the concluding purpose. The melody kept flowing despite of some motives and phrases that were asking for more prominence, for example, between measures 218 and 222.
Each of your sonatinas have their uniqueness and charm, but in this one I have been listening to something else. Might it be that there's some style evolution?
Kind regards and merry Christmas, Paul! paul-page , 27 Déc 2022 à 03:14 ↪ Style evolution. Always onward, I say. Thanks for such a careful listen. I am grateful for that as it gives ME things to think about as I keep writing. |
