Ajoutée par kheidtmann, 24 Aoû 2019 Dedicated to her half-sister Marie Wieck, which was also a pianist, singer, piano teacher, and composer. Her mother Marianne Wieck (b. Tromlitz) was a famous singer and pianst, her father Friedich Wieck a well known piano teacher. She was the wife of Robert Schumann and close friends to Joseph Joachim, Felix Mendelssohn and Johannes Brahms. Even her half-brother Woldemar Bargiel was a well known musician and one of the famous teacher of composition of his time. The premier of her first own piano concert op. 7 in the age of 16 was conducted by Felix Mendelssohn in the Gewandhaus at Leipzig.
