Ajoutée par alfredo17, 12 Aoû 2020 In the National Museum of Prague a manuscript is preserved (Sig.XLII A 90), containing 7 arrangements of an unknown arranger of songs and opera arias for a quartet of clarinet and 3 basset horns. The manuscript was belonging to the music collection of count Christian Philipp Clam-Gallas (1748 – 1805), who maintained his own orchestra in Prague. The manuscript contains songs by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 – 1791), Franz Anton Hoffmeister (1754 – 1812) and some arias from the opera ‘Der Spiegel von Arkadien’ by Franz Xaver Süßmayr (1766 – 1813). We have identified the origins of the pieces and the composer Otmar Mayer has completed lacking sections of the third basset horn part. |
