Knut Håkanson, born in Kinna on 4 November 1887 and died in Gothenburg on 13 December 1929, was a composer, conductor and music critic. He was educated in philosophy and languages at Uppsala University and at the same time took lessons in harmony from Aron Bergenson, studied composition with Johan Lindegren, and later also with Ruben Liljefors − a student of Reger, and piano under Knut Bäck.
