Eric Symons was born in Hollywood, CA in 1961, and began his guitar and music studies at age 10. At age 13 he began weekly studies with Celedonio Romero in guitar technique, Spanish music interpretation and transcription. At age 15 he became a prodigy of Angel Romero, who trained him to be a concert artist. at age 20 Eric performed "Concierto del Sur" by Ponce with the Reno Philharmonic while attending the Boston Conservatory of Music.
