John Denison Champlin, Jr. (29 January 1834 - 8 January 1915[1]) was a non-fiction writer and editor from the United States. As an editor, he worked in journalism and graphic arts.

He was born in Stonington, Connecticut, the son of a father of the same name and mother Sylvia (Bostwick) Champlin.
