Originally for violin and piano (already uploaded on
Free-Scores) this little piece of salon music has a
distinctive charm and simplicity. Probably written in
the 1840s, and clearly reminiscent of Albert's songs,
it has a straightforward ABA structure which I have
elaborated slightly in this flute version. Purists may
object, but I thought the Mendelssohnian charm of the
piece justified my taking the liberty of making it
available to flute choirs. Anyway, it's great fun and
would make a splendi...(+)
