Written over a single week in May 1932 this Sextet is for two Violins two Violas and two Cellos - plus optional Double Bass. The rebellious Martinu absorbed many influences throughout an interesting life spent living in hisnative Czechoslovakia then France Spain Italy the U.S. and Switzerland.
