Bonneau's composing was highly versatile ranging from over fifty film scores operettas songs and other pieces for woodwind including a concerto. His Suite is highly virtuosic made up of four movements; 1) Improvisation 2) Dance of Demons 3) Complaint and 4) Playfulness. The work contains typically French characteristics including chromaticism and difficult technical passages. All these elements combined make for an enjoyable and challenging piece forclarinetists.
