Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy: Wachet Auf!: Fanfare Band: Scorefrom Paulus-Paulus (1834-1836) est le premier oratorio de Mendelssohn. Il raconte la vie de Saint Paul. L'ouverture est une fantaisie sur le célèbre choral Wachet auf ruft uns die Stimme. Rarement donné l oratorio Paulus est pourtant significatif du romantisme allemand. L arrangement de Robert van Beringen nous fait redécouvrir ce chef-d œuvre oublié.
