It was written in 1911 by Katie Moss who was inspired by the unique Cornish music played at the town's annual Flora Festival. Today it enjoys a unique place in Cornish Music History as the best-selling ballad of all time catalysed by the famous Brighouse and Rastrick Band fronted by Terry Wogan who took the song to Top of the Pops the world and beyond.
