Handel composed the famous Water Music in 1717 a set of twenty short pieces to accompany a royal barge trip down the Thames. Music For The Royal Fireworks composed in 1749 is a joyful suite of six movements composed to celebrate the peace of Aix-La-Chappelle which had been declared the previous year.
