Trevor Gomes has beautifully enhanced the words of Elizabeth Barrett Browning. The melody is beckoning, the harmonies lush and compelling, and the words, of course, are classic. Although the piece works nicely with just piano, the string quartet adds a richness that should not be avoided if possible.Trevor Alan Gomes is a name to be looking for, and one we expect will be seen more often. Medium-difficult.
