They were written for the composer to playwith his children as they were learning the Piano so had a considerably easier second part. They have been arranged for Clarinet and Piano by the American musician Ray Jackendoff a Professor of Linguistics who has also had awide-ranging performance career s a classical clarinettist. Igor Stravinsky (1882-1971) was born and brought up in Saint Petersburg before settling first in Paris and finally in America.
