Prelude to Act Three-Of all Wagners scores 'The Mastersingers of Nuremburg'is the most overtly Bachian. It includes such igenious technical figures as triple counterpoint and an original chorale in Baroque idiom. This piece is ideally suited for use before church services or during communio.
