The piece begins and ends with a folk melody that isused for both greeting and parting Shalom Chaverim. Exotic harmonies and colors are explored using the melodies Zum Gali Od Yishama and Simon Tov giving the rhapsody an overall “zest for life” feeling inherent inthis music.
