The American Organist (Nov 2001) provides the following review of the work: ...a blockbuster of a recital piece, over 20 minutes in length, beginning quietly with a lush harmonic texture, but moving into a brisk toccata-like movement. A quieter movement separates this from the final virtuosic finale, also reflecting the French toccata style.
