Added by bernard-dewagtere, 07 Jan 2009 "Silent Night" is a popular Christmas carol. The original lyrics of the song "Stille Nacht" were written in Oberndorf bei Salzburg, Austria, by the priest Father Joseph Mohr and the melody was composed by the Austrian headmaster Franz Xaver Gruber. In 1859, John Freeman Young (second Bishop, Episcopal Diocese of Florida) published the English translation that is most frequently sung today. I have come to recognise the quality of arrangements from Dewagtere Bernard as high and not at all pervasive on this site. I digress; the change of key adds a challenge to an otherwise simple arrangement, a nice cherry |
Great arrangement. I can't read the play-along version. |
This site is perfect, so i can challenge myself without needing the help of my band teacher |
Great site and fine downloads. Thank you for all your wokr. |
