Added by douglas-brooks-davies, 12 Jan 2009 A new setting of the well-known 15th century English carol, There is no rose of such virtue. The solo voice should be as pure as possible so that it carries without too much effort through the accompanying 4-part choir. I have supplied a piano part short score, though the work should be sung a cappella. Ideal for advent, either during a service or for a concert; but equally suitable for Christmas itself. NOTE: I have also uploaded a simpler 4-part version in D, under the title 'There is no Rose of such Virtue' |
