Added by bernard-dewagtere, 11 Apr 2010 Jericho is one of oldest known urban areas. Situated in Palestine in the North of the Dead Sea, on a hillside of the Jordan Rift Valley, this site marked the biblical history thanks to a famous episode. In the XIIIth century before Christ, Josué, the Hebrew leader of the dissident people cananéen and the Moses? friend, sets out to conquer the country of Canaan. By approaching Jericho, the inhabitants of which take refuge behind robust bulwarks, made Josué resound his trumpets and succeeds supernaturally in destroying(annulling) the enemy defenses before sacrificing them mercilessly. What is the part of the historic truth of this legend, simple earthquake? The historians do not stop wondering about the question. Hello, thanx for the free sheet music. Why do you write "Joshua Fit the battle of Jericho" with dotted notes? The essence of afro-american music is swing notes. It gives a whole different kind of feeling to play or even just read dotted notes from the ordinary swing notes. It's wrong notation actually for the style of music. Why did you do it? |
