Added by handa-keisuke, 15 Apr 2010 Written in 2004. Song for a children?s play (lyrics by
the writer). About 800 years ago, in a poor village,
adults went for a war by order of the landlord.
Children abandoned in the village sing this song while
they are planting rice. This traditional style of
song, called ?min-yoh?, is kind of a thing of the past.
They are sometimes sung but scarcely written de novo
now. |
Love this, love the recording!!! Very rustic, very authentic. It's going straight onto my 'world music' rotation. |
