Some of the features in the piece include triplets and chromatic notes. Ignacy Jan Paderewski (1860–1941) was born in Poland. He was a famous pianist, composer and politician. He had an interest in music from a young age and started piano lessons with a private tutor. In 1872 at the age of 12 years, he travelled to the capital city of Poland, Warsaw, where he was accepted into the Warsaw Conservatorium. He graduated in 1878 whereupon he was offered work as a tutor of piano at his alma mater. His later succeeded in a career of international concertizing in which he dazzled audiences with his piano prowess. He had an interest in politics throughout his life, and served as prime minister and foreign minister of Poland in 1919. This free sheet music is for solo oboe. |
