Added by martin-staub, 19 Oct 2011 AT THE CROSS OF OUR SAVIOR places the listener at the foot of the cross, being able to see Jesus and taking in the scene all around. The listener becomes an eyewitness to the event we call Good Friday. The music sounds out loud, dramatic minor chords in the introduction and the interludes and gives a somber flavor to the sad event taking place on Calvary. In the last verse, the listener is recalling the events and thinking that all hope is gone, but the music ends in a resolved major chord, shedding a little light of optimism on the future and the resurrection yet to come.
