Added by alastair-lewis, 21 Nov 2011 The duration of this music is around 1 minute 10 seconds. It is a good practice for arpeggios. The time signature is 6/8 and the tempo is a lively allegro. The theme is written in D major, and this theme is repeated in bar 16 in the key of A major. This is a free sheet music for trumpet. The trumpet has the highest register in the brass family of musical instruments. It is played by blowing air through closed lips, thus producing a buzzing sound which results in a vibration within the instrument. The vibration is known as a standing wave vibration. Since the late 15th century trumpets have primarily been made from brass tubing, which is bent twice into a rounded oblong shape. Several types of trumpet exist, the most common being the Bb trumpet which has a tubing length of about 148cm. Modern trumpets have valves which alter the pitch being played, by increasing the length of tubing. A musician who plays a trumpet is known as a trumpet player, or a trumpeter. Historically trumpets where used as far back as 1500BC. The Egyptian Pharaoh, Tutankhamun, was buried accompanied by silver and bronze trumpets in his grave.
