Added by james-darmody, 09 Feb 2013 The piece; “Music for a Long Weekend” was written not long after moving to a property in the country. It is for Xylophone Quartet (s,a,a,b,) and is in three movements. They are: 1 - Sunday afternoon on the grass 2 - Low Pressure 3 - Dreams of rain The difficultly level is moderate, without being too demanding. The piece suggests some of the sounds and feelings of a lazy summer evening; including some bird, animal and man-made ambient sounds. |
