Ave Maria (Ellens Gesang III, D839, Op. 52 No. 6),
composed in 1825 by Franz Schubert. The piece was
composed as part of a song from Walter Scott's epic
poem "The Lady of the Lake," in a German translation by
Adam Storck (1780-1822), and thus forms part of
Schubert's song cycle for The Lady of the Lake,
"Fräulein vom See."
