Its Neapolitan lyrics were written by Giovanni Capurro, and the music was composed by Eduardo di Capua. In English the title is translated as "My Sunshine". At the 1920 Olympic games the song was used as the Italian anthem, when music for the real anthem could not be found. Ice cream vans in Europe use the music to attract customers.
