Added by douglas-brooks-davies, 10 Mar 2014 The first movement of Dvorak’s lovely Serenade for Strings, Opus 22, is here arranged for a flute choir of modest proportions: 3 flutes, plus alto and bass. In order to keep to the registers of the original, flutes 2 and 3 need at least one player each with a B-foot, and there is some occasional doubling - though this could possibly be ignored at a pinch without too much detriment to the overall feel of the piece. It’s a wonderful movement, well worth the challenge, for a concert or just for fun. Please enjoy it. Sheet central : | Sérénade pour cordes en mi majeur (8 sheet music) | |
