Added by magataganm, 17 Sep 2014 In Irish dance, a reel is any dance danced to music in reel time. In Irish stepdance, the reel is danced in soft shoes and is one of the first dances taught to students. There is also a treble reel, danced in hard shoes to reel music. Also known as The Boys Of The Lake, The Corkonian, Merry Blacksmith, Paddy On The Railroad, The Peeler's Cap & Sleigh Ride, "The Merry Blacksmith" was originally written for mandolin with backup Guitar. Although this work was originally written for mandolin, I created this arrangement for Violin & Viola. |
