Added by douglas-brooks-davies, 05 Dec 2014 After several enquiries, I have decided to arrange and upload this version of Ninna Nanna with the original text. Orazio Michi (1594-1641), known as ’dell’arpa’, was a virtuoso harpist and composer of songs. For a further note on this piece, please see my uploaded English version of Ninna Nanna on this site. I have included verses 1,2 and 7 (final) of the original, which is somewhat long with the chorus as as well. |
Very enjoyable, though - as it says in the note - feels a little long. Marriage of vocals to harpsichord (?) is very crisp . . . |
