This is a piece I wrote for Taisho Koto (Japanese dulcimer). I present a simple guitar accompaniment and an electronic one.

Absolutely love this piece! Thank you for so much for sharing your beautiful songs. I would like to play this solo on lever harp and/or pedal harp. Have you per chance created a harp arrangement?

Hi There,
I am so glad you like the piece and feel free to do anything you like with it (or anything of mine). Sorry that I do not really know anything about arranging specifically for harp. I would have thought that you just play the chords with your left hand and then play the melody with your right, although I don't think you could play the second melody at the same time. Good Luck and Best Wishes, Toby

Hi Toby,
Thank you! I have been experimenting in various ways so far: sometimes just playing the chords with my left hand while playing the primary melody with my right, as you suggested; and at other times including as much of the accompanying melody as possible with whichever hand is most appropriate for a given note. I am enjoying the learning process of this project! May I ask which software you use or recommend for arranging? I am still learning how to be quick and efficient on that front, but I would like to create an arrangement for the harp.
Thanks for your input and for sharing your beautiful music!

Hi again. I compose the pieces using a midi keyboard connected to Cubasis VST 5 software. I do also have Cubase Elements 9 but I find that the sheet-music functionality is better on the older cheaper program.
If you get Cubase you can just read in the midi file which I provide and see all the notes up on the screen. You could also merge parts and take out the unplayable notes.
If I was a better guitarist I would attempt to create solo guitar versions of my pieces. I am hoping someone might come along and offer to do that sometime. But I am happy that elementary students can play the pieces as an ensemble too.
Good Luck! Toby
