I composed this piece in 2008, though it was an
improvisation without a score. But recently, my friend
Martine Chamsa, transcribed the piece from my original
recording, a painstaking task that requires a lot of
patience and musical understanding. I think she has
done a remarkable job capturing not only all of the
notes, but also the nuances of my improvisation
beautifully and accurately. I am so grateful to her for
now bringing this song into the world so that others
