Added by kheidtmann, 12 Feb 2024 This piece is an arrangement of the Solder's Song composed by Robert Schumann for voice and piano in 1844, WoO 7. Schumann set the poem Soldatenlied of Hoffmann von Fallerleben to music, which begins with "Ein scheckiges Pferd". The piano method by Max Bisping is one of the most important piano schools of the 19th century (1860). His pupil Alfred Rose edited later versions since 1900. Here the piece is no. 209 in booklet 2. |
