Added by magataganm, 08 Dec 2016 In this Two-Part Invention, for keyboard No. 7 in E minor (BWV 778), the top part plays and expands upon a hesitant, questioning figure; the bottom part occasionally echoes the main motif, but otherwise lies at rest through the first section of this invention. The bottom role becomes far more active in the remainder of the piece, delivering an accompaniment line that is similar but by no means identical to the top part.
