Added by dereksheldon, 13 Oct 2022 Used in Remembrance events, and the original of Nixon’s Walk in Band of Brothers, this is Purcell’s best-known piece of music. The accordion is well able to bring out the important bass line, and particular attention has been paid to the layout of the sheet music so that the repetitions of the ground bass can be seen clearly. Lyrics are included so that the player can see how to bring out the plaintive vocal melody. The sheet-music is complete, including Purcell’s final ten bars of instrumental music, falling chromatically down an entire octave. Sheet central : | Didon et Énée (Dido and Aeneas) (37 sheet music) | |
